Turf It Up is a mobile application to help users book turf grounds, build teams, find opponents, and schedule matches to play soccer.

Problem Statement

Soccer players often find it difficult to book turf grounds as they have to personally call up the people in charge of the turfs in order to get information on the slots available. Many players find it hard to build teams and find opponents too.

Final Solution

In order to make the turf booking process a lot easier, a mobile application was designed to help players book turfs at their own convenience, pay online, find players and opponents as well as even schedule tournaments.

Allows users to choose from a huge list of available turf grounds and filter based on price, number of players

Payment

When both teams are created, players can go ahead and schedule a match at a turf ground of their choice

They can then make the payment to complete the booking

Every player will then be notified to make their share of the payment in order for the booking to be confirmed

 
 

Interview Insights

 

01/ Many participants felt that the current booking method is too lengthy and tedious. It requires them to call up the turf grounds directly to book it. It is also difficult to know the available slots before making an informed decision.

02/ Many participants do not have the minimum number of players required to play on a turf ground. It is difficult to find those interested but are not part of any team yet.

03/ The current payment process which requires players to pay in cash on arriving at the turf ground makes it easy for them to back out and waste a slot since there is no actual commitment.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Limitations

01/ May be difficult to know how good a player or team is before choosing to play with them

02/ If all the players do not pay on time, it will delay the booking confirmation and will eventually lead to losing the spot
